State Pension reforms – End of Contracting-out – Outcome and decision – April 2016

In the January 2016 news article ‘State Pension reforms – End of Contracting-out’, we mentioned that there would be some changes to the AA Pension Scheme that would affect those members who were Contracted-out.

If you were affected by the changes, you would have received a communication and be aware of the Scheme changes that had been proposed.

The outcome and decision you need to make

The consultation period on the proposed changes ended on 29th January 2016. If you were affected, you would have received a Pack detailing:

  • the outcome; when the changes will take affect;
  • the options available to you;
  • and the cut-off date for you to notify the Pensions Department of your chosen option.

Please ensure you read the Pack carefully as you have a decision to make. The Pack you received is designed to give you all the information you need to help you make that decision.
